How Power Systems is Committing to A Trifecta in 2018

Commitment – to carry into action deliberately, a pledge

Commitment – a relatively small word compared to the weight of its meaning. A commitment isn’t something most people enter frivolously. It takes thought, planning, and sometimes it requires adaptation or change.

Making a commitment to yourself to accomplish a goal – big or small – and keeping it private is perfectly acceptable; people do this each and every day. However, keeping a commitment private has a built-in loop hole. If you don’t follow through, YOU are the only that knows it.

Sharing your goals with others takes your commitment to the next level. Now others know what you are trying to achieve and can follow you on your journey and support you. While sharing a goal or commitment with others makes you vulnerable, it provides you with the external accountability that will persevere if (and when) your internal drive is weak.

That being said, we are going to share with YOU one of our goals for 2018. Team Power Systems is committing to train for and complete a Spartan Race Trifecta this year. We have assembled a team that will train and race together over the course of the year to complete a Sprint, a Super, and a Beast distance Spartan Race in what we are calling the Power Systems Trifecta Challenge.

There will be more details to come – not just about #TeamPowerSystems but about the other teams that will join us, and how YOU can join us! We want you to know that we are ALL IN! We are excited, and we are a little nervous. We are COMMITTED to test our limits as individuals and as a team, but most importantly, we are sharing this goal with you, our #fitfam, in hopes that you will continue to inspire us, to follow us on our journey, but most of all, we hope that you will JOIN US!

Elisabeth Fouts is Power Systems’ Education and Trade Show Coordinator and a 10 year veteran in the fitness industry. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science, is certified in and actively teaches 4 Les Mills Group Fitness Programs, and serves as a PowerWave Senior Coach. When Elisabeth isn’t teaching group x classes, you can find her training for or participating in an Obstacle Course race or watching Tennessee Volunteers or Dallas Cowboys football… GO VOLS!
