Lift, Burn, Move – At Home or On-The-Go with The Axle

Now that we have introduced you to the Axle – let’s take a closer look at how this rolling barbell can make a guest appearance or become the shining star of your weekly workout routine, both at home or on-the-go.

At first glance, you might just see the Axle as the Cadillac of Ab Rollers – when it is capable of so much more! It can act as a barbell, a planking tool, or a foot anchor to challenge the total body in addition to the core in ways the average ab roller falls short. There is no doubt the versatility of the Axle goes way above the bar – but to keep things simple – here are three ways the Axle can support a portion or the entirety of your workout.

Warm Up

Take the wheels off the Axle and warm up with the barbell alone. At 5 lbs. the unloaded Axle Barbell serves as an ideal warm up weight for shoulder ROM exercises, single or multi-joint lifts, and core rotations. The ultra-light bar can also serve as a support or an assist for upper and lower body static stretches.

Strength Training

Weighing in at 11 lbs. – the Axle is the perfect weight for fitness enthusiasts of all levels to begin basic strength training techniques. As your strength level progresses, the Axle is designed to support the addition of Olympic-sized plates to the ends to increase the resistance level of your favorite exercises. This is also a very useful benefit if you are sharing the Axle and your home workout space with a friend or family member – as each of you can customize the total weight of the Axle Barbell for the appropriate strength training challenge.

Olympic plates are a dual investment as they can be used with the Axle and alone as free weights to add more equipment functionality to your home gym space. Urethane Plates have beveled edges and gripping locations designed to facilitate strength exercises on and off the bar. Or if you prefer bumper plates, you can hold a single plate to add resistance to squats, overhead presses, Russian twists, and more!
