We just got back from one of the largest fitness trade shows in the country, IHRSA (International Health, Racquet and Sportsclub Association), where we spent a few days with industry professionals from all over the world. We met with industry leaders and innovators and had tons of fun in our booth and on the trade show floor. The energy was palpable; there’s just something about being around thousands of other like-minded people that leaves you with a renewed sense of purpose and tons of excitement. We left San Diego inspired and energized to reach new heights!
It’s already April, can you believe it?! Springtime is upon us. Finally, time for warmer temps and longer days. We’ve spent this past winter developing great habits in the gym, now it’s time for all of us to take our club/studio spaces, our service, our programming, and our workouts to the next level. Get inspired by the warmer weather and strive for peak performance in every aspect of your business and your fitness journey.
Club owners, gear up for the season change by getting your facilities in peak performance mode so your members can do the same. It’s a great time to start a new large group training format or boot camp. Encourage your team to take workouts outdoors, add new equipment, or plan events that get your members excited, energized, and motivated to work towards a new goal. SPRING into action (pun intended) and brainstorm with your team on how to take your club to the next level and inspire your members to do the same.
When members and guests come to your facility, they may be impressed with the variety of group fitness classes and equipment, but they probably don’t think about how much work it takes behind the scenes to make their experience memorable. We know that the programming piece takes a lot of time and energy on your part. Getting creative with exercises, figuring out how to integrate new equipment or find new uses for old equipment, checking that you are sequencing while staying safe, and even choosing the right music to play all have a significant role in determining whether you and your members are having the best experience possible.
